We encourage all-around development in our students. They develop healthy habits and skills that enable them to deal with a variety of sociocultural issues and challenges.

Department of Psychology Guidance Functions

●  Guidance to families through the school admission process.

●  Monitoring the adaptation process of new families joining the GCRB.

●  Counseling and psychological guidance to students, parents and teachers in situations that affect the school’s welfare.

●  Activities to promote mental health.

●  Giving support to improve the students’ educational competencies as well as possible solutions to difficulties that may arise.

●  Implementation of specific strategies (along with teachers and coordinators) to overcome difficulties evidenced in any group.

●  Development of transversal projects aimed at the GCRB community (sexuality education, citizenship, disaster prevention and management, professional guidance, and social service).

●  Feedback for improving welfare management.

More psychology guidance activities

We have four projects addressed to the GCRB community that are implemented in a cross-disciplinary manner in order to provide prevention and management tools for various sociocultural issues and challenges:

Nursing service

The GCRB nursing department actively serves the school community. Our nursing service, led by a health expert (a doctor), provides primary healthcare for the assessment of wounds and injuries that may affect students.

The nursing service's reach has been expanded to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic while adhering to all biosecurity standards. We monitor the students' and staff's current health conditions through a daily symptoms survey as part of the COVID-19 protocols; this allows us to make decisions about the actions to be taken.

Promotion and prevention campaigns have also been implemented in the nursing office, where health care information and recommendations are shared (Covid, food, hygiene, etc.).
